The mission of the Department of Data Management & Gift Services is to provide excellent customer service, database management, and technical support to the entire University Advancement team and other University Departments through the following services:

  • Raiser's Edge Database: to achieve the highest level of data integrity through timely updating of demographic information, gift entry, membership updates, and all other aspects of the Raiser's Edge Database Records module. Our staff works closely with our customers (both within and outside of University Advancement) in order to ensure a high level of data integrity.
  • Computer Resources : to provide excellent support services to all Advancement staff with regard to computer services, including but not limited to:
    1. expeditious establishment of network connections and installation of necessary software for new Advancement staff, as well as scheduling
    2. quick turn-around and follow-up when technical difficulties (hardware or software-related) affecting Advancement staff's job performance.

The Department of Data Management & Gift Services is committed to protecting the confidentiality of alumni and donor information as outlined in the Florida Statutes. This includes, but is not limited to, issuing authorization clearances for users, coordination of solicitations, and ensuring that database information is used in a manner consistent with the mission of Florida International University.
