Brand Marketing Initiative - Stamats Introduction

Florida International University is undertaking a comprehensive brand marketing initiative to help the University clarify its brand and continue to build its reputation as a rapid growth, urban public research university . Our partner in this effort, Stamats, Inc., is a recognized national leader in brand marketing for colleges and universities.

Becky Morehouse, Associate Vice President, Research & Marketing

Becky offers a broad range of experience in all facets of qualitative and quantitative market research. Each year, Becky and her research team design and complete hundreds of individual audits, assessments, and studies for colleges and universities throughout the country. Over the years, Becky’s familiarity and in-depth understanding of the higher education marketplace and its audiences has helped her create powerful, tailored, and effective research programs supported by the highest-quality protocol. Becky earned a B.A. in market research, a master’s degree in higher education administration, and is currently ABD at the University of Iowa.

Becky joined Stamats in 1991.

 

Colleen Scholer, Brand Strategist and Director of Media Relations

Colleen has developed dozens of brand communication plans for clients based on quantitative and qualitative research, effective communication strategies and strong creative platforms. Her specialty involves the brand rollout process for both internal and external audiences. She brings over 20 years of experience in brand development for higher education, business-to-business, and consumer markets.  In addition, Colleen has significant background in public and media relations. Her newswire stories have garnered mass distribution across the country in both print and leading Web sites.

Colleen graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a broadcast journalism area of expertise.

 

Ann Scholl Rinehart, Senior Writer

Ann is a passionate writer who enjoys her role in helping prospective students find the school that will be the perfect place for them. Prior to coming to Stamats, Ann spent 16 years writing for newspapers in Iowa and Wisconsin and then served as the marketing director for the YMCA of the Cedar Rapids Metropolitan Area. She continues her journalistic work as the Iowa stringer for People magazine. Ann received her Bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of Iowa and has continued her education there through graduate-level coursework in non-fiction writing.

 

Ron Bissell, Senior Designer

Ron brings to Stamats more than 10 years’ experience as a graphic designer and art director, both in advertising and higher education. Ron has a B.F.A. in graphic design from Iowa State University.

During his time at Stamats, Ron has won several ADDY awards including Best of Category for the Mid American Nazarene recruitment campaign. He has also been recognized a number of times by the Admissions Marketing Report including a Best of Show for his work with Roosevelt University. Since joining Stamats, Ron has worked with Furman University, SUNY Cortland, Richmond University, Rhodes College, UNC Charlotte, University of San Diego, University of Pennsylvania, and Florida Gulf Coast University, among others.
